At what age my I rent a vacation property and sign the rental agreement?

Anyone age 21 and above may rent a vacation property through Young's Suncoast Vacation Rentals. Guests under the age of 21 must have direct adult supervision at all times when on rental premises. Absolutely no unit will be rented to vacationing students under 21 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian of age as mentioned above. The person checking in must be the person who is renting the unit. Any reservations obtained under false pretense may be subject to loss of prepayment, rental payments, taxes and fees.

Do you collect a deposit or prepayment?

We do not collect a deposit. However, a prepayment plus an $89 non refundable processing fee and optional travel insurance payment is required to confirm your reservation and is due within 10 days of the date of booking or the reservation is subject to cancellation. The prepayment amount will depend on the number of bedrooms in your reserved vacation rental property. All prepayment(s) and processing fee(s) will be applied to your total charges at check-in and, therefore, not refunded after departure.

When do I send in my prepayment?

Prepayment, processing fees and optional travel insurance payments are due within 10 days of the date of booking or the reservation is subject to cancellation. You may send prepayments to: Young' Suncoast Vacation Rentals P.O. Box 346 Gulf Shores, AL 36547.

Will you confirm my deposit?

You will receive a confirmation letter by e-mail after Young's Suncoast has received your prepayment. Please take time to verify the arrival/departure dates, reserved accommodations and rent amount due. You should contact us immediately if you find a discrepancy; otherwise we will assume all information is correct. Your confirmation letter is also your rental agreement. Please read it carefully, sign it and return it to us at check-in.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We currently accept personal checks 15 days in advance of arrival only with a valid driver’s license. Traveler’s checks, VISA, MasterCard and Discover cards are also accepted. We prefer one payment of single payment type from one individual.

Am I guaranteed the unit I reserve with my prepayment?

Young's Suncoast reserves the right to substitute comparable accommodations without notice or liability should the reserved unit be out of order or not available for any reason. When comparable accommodations are not available, the renter will have the option of selecting from available properties at the published rate, or receive a complete refund of any prepayments. Under some circumstances, rates may also be subject to change, depending on the date your reservation was made.

What is your cancellation policy?

15 days prior to arrival date for daily or weekly rentals 30 days for all monthly rentals If it is necessary to cancel your reservation, with more than the required advance notice, all prepayments are refundable, less a $30 cancellation fee and $89 processing fee. Payments with less than the specified number of days notice will be held for lost rent and result in forfeiture of prepayment(s), processing fee, pre paid rent and all other fees and taxes unless the rental unit is rebooked for the same rental period, rental amount and payment of the new rental has cleared. No refunds for early departure. Any changes in the dates of a reservation will incur a $30 administrative change fee.

When do I check-in and check-out?

Check-in is between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on scheduled arrival date. Check out is prior to 10 a.m. on your scheduled day of departure.

What if I will be arriving after business hours?

Please call us if you are planning to check in after 5 p.m. All rent and applicable fees must be paid in advance in order to arrange for an after hours check-in.

What furnishings do vacation rental properties include?

Most of our condos and houses are equipped with standard household furniture and appliances: coffee maker, microwave, toaster, TV, etc. Because the properties are privately owned, decor, style, color scheme, and furnishings will vary.

Is there Internet available at my vacation rental property?

Most vacation rental properties are available with Internet service. If Internet service is important in selecting your vacation rental property, please be sure to inform your reservation representative.

What is covered by the cleaning fee?

The cleaning fee is charged to each guest to completely clean, change linens and prepare for the next guest who has reserved the rental property.

What do I need to bring and what will Young’s Suncoast Vacation Rentals provide?

What we provide: Bed linens, blankets, pillows, dishes, glassware, pots, pans, utensils, initial supply of bath towels in condos based upon occupancy, outdoor furniture
What to bring: Beach towels and beach chairs, personal items, laundry and dishwashing detergent, bathroom tissue, paper towels, napkins, garbage bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, zip lock bags (small and large), bath soap, condiments, clothes hangers, coffee filters, SUNSCREEN!

Is there a maximum number of vehicles allowed at a condominium?

Most condominium associations allow one vehicle per unit. Many provide for a maximum of two vehicles for two or more bedroom units. Please check with a Young's Suncoast reservationist to confirm the policy of a particular property. Condominiums and most houses prohibit boats, trailers, jet skis and motor homes. Please consult your reservation agent should you wish to bring any of these types of vehicles.

Are there a maximum number of people allowed in the rental property?

Yes, the maximum number of people is based on the amount each property comfortably sleeps. Please refer to the property description or speak with a rental representative for specific information.

What Items are available for rental through your office?

Young's Suncoast Vacation Rentals can recommend local rental services that provide everything from beach chairs and beach umbrellas to baby beds. Although we do not rent these items ourselves, we are happy to provide information on local sources.

Are pets allowed?

We love pets as much as anyone; however, dogs are allowed only in specifically identified pet friendly properties and with applicable non refundable pet fees. A pet or evidence of a pet found on premises at any non pet friendly property will cause immediate tenant eviction and forfeiture of entire rent payments, prepayments, taxes and fees. What about fireworks?

Sorry, but fireworks are prohibited at all rental properties.

Can I make long distance phone calls from the rental property?

Telephones are furnished in most vacation properties for local calls. Long distance and directory assistance calls must be made collect, charged to your personal phone number or paid by credit card. Note: Gulf Shores Plantation telephones are operated on a central switchboard system. Please contact the Gulf Shores Plantation management office for long distance call procedures and payment information.

Can we grill out on our balcony?

Fire marshal and condominium association rules prohibit the use of grills on balconies and decks and under raised beach houses and duplexes. Most condo buildings, duplexes and houses have designated BBQ areas.

What happens if there is a storm or inclement weather or if I decide to depart early?

Refunds are available only through Travel Guard if optional trip insurance was purchased. Please contact Travel Guard at 877-254-8842 and reference Product Number 008375 for more information regarding travel insurance.

What happens if there is a hurricane or tropical storm?

Prior to Arrival - If State or local governmental authorities (not the media) issue a Tropical Storm Warning or Hurricane Warning which includes either a Voluntary or Mandatory Evacuation Order for the immediate area, you will receive a refund of your prepayment less the $89 reservation processing fee. If you decide to cancel your reservation without the above orders having been issued, or without the optional Travel Guard Insurance service, all amounts paid will be forfeited unless the property is re-rented and rental is paid in full for the same amount.

After Arrival - If governmental authorities issue the above described orders during your visit and you decide to depart, the pro-rated amounts paid will be refunded within a reasonable time after you depart. Should a Tropical Storm or Hurricane approach the immediate area certain requirements may apply and you will be provided specific storm related details in such event upon your arrival. How do I check-out?

We ask that you do a quick, light cleanup before you leave the unit. Please bag and dispose of trash, wash dishes (using dishwasher detergent only) and place all utensils, cookware and dishes in their original locations and sweep the floors. Set the air conditioner to 75 degrees and make sure all windows and doors are locked. Please return all keys to the Young’s Suncoast Vacation Rental management office in Gulf Shores.
